AYANNA WIGGINS

SHIFT HAPPENS. Let’s start there. As such, integrating a blog into my website is something that I’ve pondered since living in Hawaii and feeling pure, unadulterated bliss during a time that I (and my family) needed it most. My inner voice said, “Do it.” Friends and family that know me, know me were encouraging me to create something of my own because they knew that I was passionate about words and tapping into my creativity and marketing savvy to bring them to life in an authentic way. Self-doubt crept in—not because I couldn’t write…and not because I had nothing to say—but simply because it’s so easy to talk ourselves out of pursuing a path of uncertainty, rather than confidently talking and walking ourselves into our destiny.

Then, one day, a funny thing happened. Life happened. Shift happened. Not feeling valued happened and I simply decided (rather, reminded myself) that, girlfriend, you are too talented to sit, sulk and sink.

That’s my truth and I’m so glad that you’re here. I hope you’ll come back often for inspiration to do you and encouragement to keep pushing while attempting to figure out life (or bad hair days and uneven brows). For those on the verge of a travel meltdown and in desperate need of a getaway, I’m sharing recommendations and things I’ve learned along the way as a marketer in the hospitality industry.

At any given time, I have 10 things on my mind—constantly thinking about where I am, where I’m trying to go and how my creative and strategic ideas will get me there. With that said, this blog will go where the spirit leads me. When it’s time to pivot, I will do so accordingly. For now, welcome to a piece of me—unscripted and unapologetic.
